About the Author
Jack Fecker's credibility originates from more than fifty years in the marketplace as a profitable entrepreneur, CEO, and business development consultant. His seminars, public speaking engagements, radio and TV appearances, have earned Jack the reputation as one of the most entertaining, humorous, wise and insightful speakers on the circuit today. Building more than twenty successful businesses, Jack is well known for his creation of one of Seattle’s first major nightclubs, The Blue Banjo, where nineteen-year old Barbara Streisand stopped by and sang while standing on a chair during the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962.
Perhaps the most popular of his business ventures was the Northwest territorial franchise (five stores) of Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlours, with partner, Joe Rutten. The stores were the brainchild of Robert Farrell, with a total of 145 stores developed across the United States. Jack has counseled and spoken to thousands of professionals, and many of the most successful business owners have considered him their valued mentor. His first book, Freedom From Work, is a wealth of revealing stories and wisdom which have empowered many in bringing the best of who they are to all places of service, especially the workplace.
In this new book, Becoming a Creative Entrepreneur, Jack’s focus is passing forward the wisdom gleaned from fifty years of rubber-meets-the-road experience as a business owner. Illustrating through numerous stories, humorous anecdotes and pragmatic action steps exactly how to integrate both left- and right-brain approaches, linear and creative, this is a book designed to support profitability at every stage of business. Married in 1984, Jack and his wife live in the green hills of Washington State. Jack continues creating and operating successful businesses while also enjoying life with his children and grandchildren.
